你相信嗎?近60年來首度有聖誕歌曲拿下告示牌百大單曲榜的第一名。那就是這首由 Mariah Carey 以及 Walter Afanasieff 共同完成詞曲創作的 All I Want for Christmas Is You ，並於收錄在1994年11月14日發行的 Merry Chrsitmas 專輯 (中文翻譯《祝福》)，也是她歌唱生涯第四張也是第一張聖誕歌曲專輯 (前三張專輯分別是 Mariah Carey, Emotions and Music Box)。日後結算這 Merry Chrsitmas 專輯全球熱賣1千5百萬張並把 All I Want for Christmas Is You 變成了每年聖誕節必播歌曲之一。

最新版影片MV和歌曲出爐後，一週內迅速3400萬次撥放數、數位專輯也賣出2.7萬張。她個人Youtube頻道的新版MV才播出3日，點閱率已超過1千萬。上另外，這也是凱莉第19度登上告示牌冠軍寶座，次數僅次於天團披頭四（The Beatles）曾20次登榜首。

其實 Mariah Carey 的偉大成就並非一蹴可幾。她唱歌天分被哥倫比亞唱片公司(Columbia Records 當年尚未被 Sony Corporation of America 收購)所發掘。於1990年推出首張《同名專輯》專輯裡的主打歌曲 Vision of Love〈愛的幻影〉就讓他贏得 1991年第33屆 Grammy Awards 的最佳新人獎 (The Best New Artist)還有最佳流行類女歌手獎(The Best Female Pop Vocal Performance) 的殊榮。
